XBOX360 VS PLAYSTATION 3

Filed under: Uncategorized — Poster @ 2:49 pm

XBOX360 PROS: I was shocked at how good the graphics are. I really didn’t think there was a big difference between last generation and the current generation, but I can see now that there is. One of my neighbors brought over the NCAA 10, and the difference between it and my PS2 NCAA 10 is like night and day. I’m one of the strange ones that prefers the 360 controller. I have big hands, it fits well, and I like the layout of their analog controllers better than the Sony controllers, though I guess is isn’t a big difference. The controller is nice though. Hardly no noise level and no heating up. So, so far, the Jasper must be doing its job. Overall, I’m very pleased with it and at least feel positive about this generation of consoles, as can be seen by pre-ordering the PS3 slim.

I have to say that this xbox is much better than the earlier versions. It is a little quieter and doesn’t overheat,I’ve played for 10 hours straight with no RROD, awesome.

PLAYSTATION 3 PROS : You’ll get:

  • FREE Blu-Ray capabilities right out of the box.
  • Upgrade the hard drive to any size you like…I put a 500gb in mine.
  • The controllers are much better and actually fit in your hands AND you don’t have to replace the internal batteries.
  • The controllers and all other accessories communicate via blue-tooth….MODERN technology.
  • FREE online gaming with NO ADS.
  • FREE wifi capabilities right out of the box.

The first party games are leaps and bounds better than anything the XBOX can produce because the developers aren’t limited by the older DVD technology.
The PS3 was built for the future…you won’t have to buy another console years down the road.

I’ve found so much value in the PS3 that I have bought two - one for the bedroom and one for the living room.

Three Ways to Avoid Flood Damaged Sports Cars

Filed under: Uncategorized — Poster @ 2:47 pm

The recent natural disasters along the U.S. gulf coast reminds us of an important factor in purchasing sports cars-the need to avoid purchasing a flood-damaged vehicle.

A sports car that has been flooded is likely to experience numerous difficulties that will shorten its lifespan.

Among the risks is the greater likelihood of significant rust problems. A previously soaked interior lends itself to rusting out floorboards and other often hidden spots.

More importantly, however, are the very real mechanical problems that can come about due to the flooding of a sports car. If water levels reached a high enough point, it is possible that grit, grime and water entered the engine and exhaust system. The residue can significantly impair performance and can shorten the car’s effective life considerably.

Flooded sports cars also frequently suffer from electrical problems. A soaked electrical system lends itself to corrosion and an increased risk of short circuits. Repairs will be necessary, and electrical work can bring with it considerable expense.

Fortunately, it is possible to avoid purchasing a sports car that has been flooded. There are a few things you can easily due to mitigate the risk of acquiring a previously flooded car.

First, perform an automobile history check through a service such as CarFax. Although not foolproof, this kind of check can tell you if any flood-related insurance claims were made with respect to the vehicle and may provide you with other information hinting at water-related problems.

Secondly, beware of too much new car smell. A soggy car is likely to start producing interior mold and an unscrupulous seller may attempt to hide this telltale sign of flood damage by utilizing strong deodorants. An unaware buyer may purchase the car and not smell the hint of flood damage until some time after the purchase is made. If a car smells “too good” or seems to be over-deodorized, make sure to take extra time to investigate possible flooding.

Finally, advise your mechanic to look for signs of water damage. Any time you buy a sports car, particularly a used model, you should have your mechanic evaluate the vehicle. If you have reason to be concerned about potential flood history, remind your mechanic to be on the lookout for any water damage indicators.

The great devastation wrought by floods has been known to bring out the best in people willing to help those adversely affected. Unfortunately, history also indicates there will be people willing to profit on sports cars impacted by storms without offering full disclosure of past water damage. Do not allow yourself to be victimized by the seller of a once-flooded car, take steps to protect yourself from these unscrupulous sellers.

Get Out There and Paint Some Faces

Filed under: Uncategorized — Poster @ 2:26 pm

So you want to be a face painter. Well then you are going to need some supplies. And those supplies should be appropriate to the kind or face painting you will be doing. For example, if you are doing professional stage makeup, then look for paints that won’t wear off quickly. You will need staying power, so avoid the kinds of face paint that are used for kids at costume parties. You are going to need a quality face painting kit that includes sponges, cream paints, powder paints, and sponges.

If you are going to paint children’s faces at the county fair, then you will want easy-on, easy-off water soluble face paint, and you will want a palette. The palette can be quite important because you are likely to have a line of kids at your booth and you won’t want to have to go chasing down tubes of face paint while kids wait in line.

Being a face painter can be a very rewarding activity, both personally and monetarily. But it is important to have the right gear and supplies. The best recommendation one can make is to be well stocked and well prepared. Be sure to develop a repertoire of designs and be able to execute them flawlessly every time and quickly. The more you practice the faster you will get, and the happier your customers will be.

If you are just getting started in face painting, it’s probably a good idea to seek out a few designs on websites or in arts and crafts books. Pick out the ones you can execute efficiently and that are aesthetically pleasing. Once you have this down, you will be ready to get out there and paint the town, or at least a few faces.

Zrii is the Sure Bet for a Residual Income Business

Filed under: Uncategorized — Poster @ 2:17 pm

Zrii has undergone unbridled success during the past two years. Bill Farley established the company in 2007 with the ambition of creating a universal billion dollar company. Many multi-level marketing experts attribute this success to the distinguished endorsement bestowed by Deepak Chopra. In addition to this endorsement, the rooting of Zrii’s two products in Ayurvedic science give it considerable legitimacy in the medical field. There are currently 65,000 independent executives throughout the world. Preliminary estimates place this number as two percent of overall independent agents in the next five years. Zrii nation is always excited about opening new markets. Potential markets on the board for expansion include Isreal and Colombia. Surely, if Zrii reaches the Isreal market, the march towards a billion dollar company will gain considerable momentum.

Ayurveda science is at the core of Zrii’s breakthrough weight management product. NutriiVeda is a meal replacement powder that launched at the August 2009 Rising Star Academy. Some of the ingredients in NutriiVeda include Haritaki, Amaliaki, Cayenne, Cayenne, Cinnamon and Guggul, just to name a few. Zrii claims there are over 22 essential vitamins and minerals in a serving of NutriiVeda. The scientifically proven ingredients in NutriiVeda have been shown to help you lose fat and maintain normal blood sugar levels. NutriiVeda was formulated by members of Zrii’s Scientific Advisory Board. This is a group of Ayruvedic doctors who oversee the formulation of Zrii’s products. These experts spend a significant amount of their time exploring new concoctions and educating the public about Ayruveda priciples.

With any multi-level business opportunity, there are doubters out there who slander the network marketing industry. Zrii has experienced significant opposition the past two years. Typically, skeptics have been invested in a business but ran into a significant roadblock. Usually, these negative events result because of a lack of support or poor leadership at the corporate level. Zrii is fortunate to have an American business icon as its Founder and CEO. Bill Farley has steered the vision for six individual billion dollar companies in his 35 year entrepreneurial career, the most recognizable being Fruit of the Loom. His other companies include Lucchese, Christian Diore, BVD, Jordache, etc. How on earth could a business leader with this level of acumen be involved with a Zrii scam? In addition to the reputation of Bill Farley, would Deepak Chopra, a world famous physician be involved with a scam? Dr. Chopra is considered an icon the world over for his authority on Holistic medicine. Has Zrii cooked up the highly respected tradition of Ayruveda? No way!

Getting Exercise While Getting Stuff Finished

Filed under: Uncategorized — Poster @ 4:38 pm

Carla and I have been working real hard to get matters better in our lives. When my third spousal relationship ended, (and let’s just say it “ended,” mmm’kay?) I only recognized it was time to force a change. Not just any change, I’m talkin’ a heavy change, honey.

But it only seems everybody wishes to hold me down. Life’s so difficult, ain’t it? When I saw my doctor to talk about the tummy reduction price I was quoted, he just lectured me about finding the proper kind of exercise. He recognizes I have been doing everything I can, plastering on the scar zone cream and making all my beauty salon equipment to earn their cost.

Yet he only keeps scolding me about dieting and exercise, telling me my body would improve over the long term if I treat it like I care for it it.

He’s big on biking, but I enjoined him bike seats bother me and I just can’t fathom putting on those small cycling jerseys. Is he trying to humiliate me? At least he got a little more moderate when he began speaking about things I could do in the solace of my own place.

Elliptical machines may certainly work better for me than riding out in public and weight-lifting benches and fitness mats are a bit more my speed.

But I likewise feel that I get plenty of fitness in my daily life. Only last week I found lots of exercise pushing around Charlene’s garden cart as we decorated her yard for her sister’s party. Rearranging the garden benches layout for open-air party seats after moving the Weber 751001 Charcoal Grill made for some good weight lifting. And then the stretches and effort necessary to make all those tiki torches position right was like aerobic exercises.

Does it sound like I am making excuses? I do not care, girl, that was hard work! After all that decorating and partying I reckon I burned a thousand calories. I dare some treadmill jogging sap to push garden carts around for five hours and reckon how they feel.

I do not mean to sound whiney. I’ll get it all in concert. I only wish people would sometimes center on what I have finished instead of what I still need to do. I know it isn’t easy being you, but it is not easy being me, either. We all have to work hard to be happy, I venture.

Payday loans are oftentimes referred to as low-cost cash credit. They are highly easy to apply for.

Filed under: Uncategorized — Poster @ 3:36 pm

There are many avnues to go about foreign exchange these days. Last year, I decided to emigrate to another country. It was a big conclusion yet I was prepared to do it! A factor I required to arrange speedily though was to send my finances to an foreign account. I demanded my normal bank to carry it out yet they had seriously bad FX rates. I went online and commenced to search for currency exchange companies because I had heard that there exist expert banks. Thus, there are - I gained a rather fantastic specialist FX expert to make the money move without added fees and the rate was exceptional. Today, whenever I would like to send cash to family based back in my country, I use the forex merchant and won’t even think employing the mainstream!

Payday loans are often referred to as low-cost cash borrowing. They are highly easy to apply for. The application stage takes place online and the payday lender will give you a decision very speedily. There are no credit checkups and almost everybody may receive one (as long as they are older than 18 or thereabouts). The sole side effect with pay day loans is that they carry a significant rate. Therefore, the more fast you repay the credit off, the the higher advantage. This is the key to applying a pay day loans.

Another method for low credit people to apply for borrowing is to go for bad credit loans. They are very useful and the loan merchant doesn’t care if the applicant has a bad credit status. However, again the interest rate will be higher than on a traditional loan. However this is no great concern at at time a individual requires dosh fast! One or two people are really pleased that there are lenders on offer who will take on their application at a time the everyday lending institutions are turning them down them constantly.

Safety Guide to Asbestos Removal

Filed under: Uncategorized — Poster @ 2:54 pm

Introduction

In recent years there has been a dramatic increase in the health and safety agenda of handling asbestos, its management and disposal in a safe and secure manner. Where workers have been exposed to asbestos in confined spaces or where fibres have been present, such as during manufacture of items with asbestos as a key component, they are faced with serious health issues. It is now widely recognised that the major single work related cause of death is asbestos. For this reason alone health and safety information high lights the dangers of incorrect management of asbestos contaminated products, and the need for safe management and disposal is very high profile.

What is asbestos?

There are generally three forms of asbestos known as brown, blue and more common white asbestos. Asbestos is a naturally occurring fibre and is mined in various countries such as Canada and South Africa but, by far the largest producer is Russia. Although a dangerous substance to be managed, it is still valuable because of its unique resistance qualities, such as being resistant to heat, electricity and noise. It is essential for use as a key component for items such as brake linings and insulation as well as for industrial use or in building construction.

Asbestos became widely used during the late 19th Century in the programme of building hospitals, factories, schools and farm houses which were all built using materials that contained asbestos. Its qualities of being resistant to heat, flame retardant and a good insulator meant that it was widely recognised as very good construction material in ceilings and walls. It was also widely used as a lagging material to wrap around steam pipes and boilers. Some household products such as early electric ovens also contained asbestos material, due to its excellent heat resistant qualities. Indeed I seem to recall the use of it in a very early electric oven at my grandparent’s house in the mid-late 1960’s.

Nowadays if asbestos is discovered to be still present within a building, it is likely to cause alarm amongst those residents working in the building. People living close by are also likely to be concerned and very quickly an entire local community may find themselves concerned about the dangers of having asbestos close by.

However, as long as the asbestos is well maintained and is not releasing dust, into the atmosphere there is no danger to health. Asbestos only becomes dangerous and a health hazard when it’s disturbance takes place or if you breathe in asbestos dust, from the surrounding environment. Asbestos is toxic when dust are breathed in because they lodge in the lungs causing breathing difficulties. The various forms of lung disease are very serious such as bronchiactisis, silicosis, and lung cancer. From the mid-1980’s, countries within the European Union and some of the world’s other most developed countries have banned asbestos due to its high risk health concerns.

A simple task such as laying roof insulation, should always be undertaken whilst wearing a protective face mask to avoid inhalation of asbestos dust and particles.

There are stringent regulations involved in any demolitions project  in dismantling structures.

Why is Asbestos Dangerous?

The inhaling of asbestos fibres is the cause of debilitating diseases. So, if you work in an environment where many hundreds of asbestos-related particles exist in the atmosphere, unless you wear the appropriate face mask protection, you are putting your health in danger.

Of course, many years ago the dangers were unknown and whilst asbestos related disease may not affect you immediately, in later life the effects will become more apparent. Currently asbestos is responsible for approximately 4000 deaths per year and every week it contributes to the deaths of almost 40 tradesmen, including plumbers, electricians, carpenters and joiners. These trades are particularly at risk because the tradesmen will have been employed in environments where asbestos will have been present. The updating of plumbing work in factories, hospitals, schools, houses and factories will have been a common requirement in recent years. Equally, electricians, carpenters and joiners will have been exposed to similar work in their professional fields.

My father was an electrician before retiring ten years ago and over a thirty year period, rewired many factory premises, most likely working in asbestos contaminated areas
I used to work for a compressed air equipment manufacturer. The company’s main manufacturing site also included the offices, the manufacturing and assembly plant, the foundry and workshops. The whole site was built in the early 1900s and inevitably had used asbestos products within its construction. In the 1990s with much of the manufacturing moved overseas, it was decided to sell the site for redevelopment and the site has now been entirely demolished, ready for reconstruction. But just think how much of the construction material would have contained asbestos.

Before major demolition works could begin, a full site survey including an asbestos survey would have been required to identify and assess how to manage the removal of the asbestos material across the site. Each specific area would have required the advice of an approved asbestos management contractor and assurances of how the asbestos materials would be safely removed and disposed of. Due to the size of the site, this would have been a major task and also a costly one, but an essential requirement to ensure that all regulations relating to the management of asbestos material were adhered to.

Where is Asbestos Found?

If you visit an old building built around the 1950s, it is worth taking a look around to see where asbestos has been used and the types of products which might contain asbestos. Asbestos cement products, such as large sheets of a corrugated material are likely to be asbestos cement sheets. It is distinguishable as a hard grey coloured material in which asbestos has been mixed with cement. It is likely that if the sheets have been used on the roof, that similar flat sheets will have been used for wall cladding. If a wall has been given a textured coating, then many old wall coating materials contained an asbestos mix to create the texture. On the floor, floor tiles made from asbestos may also be in place. Recognised for its fire retardant qualities, an asbestos spray may also have been used to coat wooden roof beams. Asbestos sprayed on walls and ceilings will have a high content of asbestos and is known to be easily disturbed just by movement and will give off fibres. Then there will be asbestos used as a lagging material on pipes and plumbing equipment.

You need to be aware of the dangers of asbestos removal as well as the risks involved if the material is not handled properly, and ensure you only trust this work to a fully licensed professional organisation.

Managing and Disposing of Asbestos

Since the avoidance of using asbestos took effect, the most common method by which asbestos is now disposed is through the use of landfill sites. There are however very rigid guidelines on how asbestos should be managed and disposed of.

First you must decide how big a task the job is. If you have asbestos removal to undertake in the home then the best strategy is to employ a fully licensed asbestos removal specialist to remove the toxic waste safely. The basic requirements for protection, including the wearing of a dust mask and a disposable overall, are not suggested as the limit of safety precautions and you will be will be much safer trusting this work to a specialist contractor. If you are removing sheets of asbestos for example from an old garage or shed, simply breaking one sheet up will release potentially harmful asbestos dust and fibres.

Provided that there are no electrical cables and connections nearby, the asbestos removal specialist may treat the asbestos to be handled with water spray before commencing the removal of the material. However this kind of thing is not for the novice DIY enthusiast and should be left to an experienced specialist contractor at all times. The removed asbestos cannot simply be placed in your domestic waste for collection, it must be treated separately and either bagged or placed in a dedicated skip for safe disposal by specialists.

When the call for asbestos removal is much larger than the domestic project, the work should always be managed by a specialist commercial asbestos removal company.

These specialists have qualified in the specific training and certification and will have the correct equipment to manage the task effectively, safely and in accordance with the correct regulations. Older buildings may require a dismantling process to carefully remove any asbestos and this work is likely to involve the use of scaffolding or cranes to be able to undertake this work safely. The most important point to remember is that as the customer, asbestos is on your premises. You are responsible for the removal, handling and safe disposal of the asbestos and to do so without employing an approved contractor could leave you open to prosecution.

To ensure that dedicated skips are used in the disposal of asbestos some waste management contractors operate colour coded skips so that only these are used for asbestos disposal. I know of one leading UK waste management company who have a two tone yellow and red painted skips used solely for the safe transportation and disposal of asbestos. As asbestos is classed as a hazardous waste material, only landfill sites licensed to take asbestos are permitted to accept asbestos onto the site.

I recall a large automotive company going into administration and thousands of brake lining pads had to be removed as part of a major site clearance project. Although they were all boxed, the fact that asbestos had been used in their manufacture meant that a specialist contractor was brought in to manage the removal and disposal of the stock. In today’s environment where recycling is a buzz word, it is very difficult and costly to recycle asbestos.

Nowadays it is routine to use crushed stone as recycled aggregate to be reused on a project, which sends a strong environmental message.

Health and Safety Issues when Working with Asbestos

Before commencing any work, if it is thought that asbestos may be present, the contract manager must undertake a complete project plan. No employee should be placed at risk, in an environment where asbestos is knowingly located. Through a complete site survey, it must be established if materials containing asbestos are present and the work must be planned to either avoid disturbance or the need to dismantle and remove these materials.

If asbestos materials are to be removed, it is essential that the work should be undertaken by an licensed asbestos contractor, who has completed the appropriate asbestos awareness and training courses and is certificated. It is also important to note, whether the premises will need to be vacated whilst the work is to be undertaken. If people remain in or near the area where asbestos is to be removed, disturbance of the material will place anyone in the close vicinity of the project in danger. Other considerations and decisions may need to be taken into account, particularly where there is a need to work at height and to identify precisely which equipment is to be required to complete the task safely.

All major projects, should be supervised throughout and inspected at various stages to ensure that the work complies with regulations at the end of the task, and that it is safe for employees to return to the premises.

Of course, throughout the project, the project manager must ensure that arrangements have been made for the safe disposal of all the asbestos waste. For those undertaking the work, vigilance will be required throughout the project to protect their own health. Face masks will be worn, as well as appropriate clothing such as a disposable all in one overall. Clean up as you go is a strategy employed by asbestos removal specialists when they work through the project, to limit the amount of asbestos dust spreading to other parts of the building.

Conclusion

The strict regulations which now surround the handling and management of asbestos will in nearly all cases require that any project involving the dismantling of asbestos materials is managed by a specialist asbestos removal contractor.

Without specialist knowledge, awareness and the correct equipment, any project involving asbestos removal brings potential hazard. Any company engaging a contractor who does not comply with the correct legislation, will be responsible themselves, not the contractor. So aside from the health concerns, it is in the interest of the owner of a property to comply with the rules and regulations which govern the management of asbestos projects.

Often referred to as the hidden killer, improved knowledge and awareness of the devastating long term effects that asbestos has upon one’s health is now well documented. It is hoped that in the coming years we will begin to see a decline in asbestos related diseases or illnesses ,as the exposure of those working in asbestos environments is more carefully managed. Unfortunately until the mid-1980s, for those who had worked in or around environments where asbestos was present, the worry of asbestos related death or illness remains.

Whichever way you look at it, asbestos is a pretty unpleasant substance if inhaled and brings cause for concern if it is present in your premises, so seek the advice of a specialist asbestos removal contractor to ensure the effective and compliant management of your particular project.

Inca trail or what’s the best of the Andes?

Filed under: Uncategorized — Poster @ 2:43 pm

Tourists or travelers without prior trip to South America wonder where to go. Many select trip to Peru and trek the Inca trail. Others opt for the southern Andes and tour Argentina or discover the Torres del Paine National Park in Chile.

Most logical way to access the Inca heartland is to arrive in Lima, the capital of Peru and once called City of Kings. After admiring Lima’s excellent museums housing splendid pre-Columbian collections, one of gold, archaeology, anthropology and number of other outstanding museums, namely the Amaro and Peru’s Museo de la Nacion, it’s best you sample more of what Peru has to offer.

While most head on direct to Cusco by flight and from there to the lost city of Machu Picchu, you should add a side trip to your Peru journey in the footsteps of the Incas and venture down into the Amazon first.

It’s an easy hop from Lima to Puerto Maldonado in southeastern Peru in the Amazon forest not far from the Bolivian border at the confluence of the Tambopata and Madre rivers, and a jumping off point for the Tambopata National Reserve. It is indeed very much worth your time as in Tambopata you can get a wonderful glimpse of the incredible biodiversity of this natural habitat, teeming is hundreds of bird species and butterflies, profusion of mammals as well fish and reptiles.

But southern Andes do indeed also offer great variety of trips, from the magic of Patagonia, the incredible parks of Torres del Paine, Tierra del Fuego and Fitz Roy to Atacama desert and the sophisticates cities of Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile. But trying to decide between one and the other is pointless, just go to one, you will have to come back again anyway, so your decision is pointless as you will never go wrong no matter what destination you’ll decide on.

Advanced Life Support Encouraging CPR Guidelines Observation

Filed under: Uncategorized — Poster @ 2:57 pm

Advanced Life Support (ALS) or Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is a treatment algorithm followed by healthcare professionals when a situation arises requiring cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in cases of cardiac arrest, arrhythmias, stroke, or other related medical problems like poisoning. Advanced Life Support consists of CPR administration using oxygen administration via a bag or mask and chest compressions (see CPR Certification), which are now recommended at a 30:2 ratio of compressions to ventilations for adults, children, and infants to produce higher coronary and cerebral perfusion pressures. The electrical activity of the heart is monitored and depending on the type of cardiac arrhythmia, defibrillation is applied, and medications such as adrenaline (epinephrine), amiodarone, or atropine are administered. Saline or colloids may also be given intravenously to increase the circulating fluid volume in the body. End tracheal intubation may also be necessary to secure the airway in some cases, see Online CPR Certification.

While performing CPR, members of the Advanced Life Support team consider eight forms of potentially reversible causes of cardiac arrest, also known as “4H4T” as seen on the CPR Cetification Classes. The “H’s” are hypoxia (low blood oxygen), hypovolemia (low blood volume), hyper/hypokalemia (high/low blood potassium), hypothermia (body temperature well below normal), followed by the “T’s” which include tension pneumothorax (tear in the lung leading to collapsed lung and distortion of major arteries), tamponade (fluid or blood in the pericardium compressing the heart), toxic and/or therapeutic chemicals or medications, or thromboembolism (blood clot in the heart or lungs). Early intervention, early access, early CPR, early defibrillation, and early advanced life support save lives. This team of medical professionals consists of physicians from all disciplines, anesthesiologists, emergency medical technicians, and others trained in ALS designated to respond in a cardiac emergency.

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is very much like ALS only it is designed to aid the pediatric healthcare provider in recognizing and managing critically ill infants and children at risk for cardiopulmonary arrest. There are medical emergencies specific to this age group, and the focus is placed on early recognition of distress as related to a specific medical diagnosis. ALS and PALS training is provided to healthcare professionals that work with adults and children, including physicians, physician assistants, nurses, nurse practitioners, paramedics, and respiratory therapists, across the country by the American Heart Association. Just visit www.americanheart.org or www.heart.org for further discussion on new recommendations and all aspects of assessment and treatment of victims of respiratory and/or cardiac emergencies and stroke, including basic and advanced life support interventions.
